Chain Sprocket Manufacturing

A sprocket, sprocket or drive sprocket is a cog or wheel with teeth designed to transfer motion to a chain, track or other perforated or recessed material. The name 'sprocket' generally describes any wheel over which its radial projections engage a passing chain. Compared to rollers, which are smooth, sprockets have ridges that allow them to mate with the chain or track. Unlike gear wheels, sprockets do not mate directly with each other.

Sprockets are used in bicycles, motorcycles, cars, tracked vehicles and other machines to transmit rotational motion between two shafts for which sprockets are not suitable or to attach a part, track, etc. Used to implement linear motion. Perhaps the most common gear shape can be found in the bicycle, where the pedal shaft carries a large sprocket wheel that drives a chain that drives a small sprocket on the axle of the rear wheel. The first automobiles transferred engine power to the wheels via a gear and chain mechanism, a practice largely copied from bicycles.
